Paolo Mazzuchelli PAM

Biography

Paolo Mazzuchelli was born in Lugano on January 27, 1954. He trained at the Centro Scolastico Industrie Artistiche (CSIA) in Lugano and later at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. In 1982, he won the drawing competition organized by the municipality of Chiasso and held his first significant solo exhibition at the Mosaico Gallery in Chiasso. In 1992 and 1993, he received the prestigious Federal Fine Arts Scholarship. Starting in the 1990s, Mazzuchelli began a fruitful collaboration with artists and writers connected to the visual poet Franco Beltrametti, creating experiences that blended image, music, and poetry. Since 2000, several exhibitions dedicated to the artist have been organized at the Museo Villa dei Cedri in Bellinzona, the Elisarion Cultural Center in Minusio, the Galerie Carzaniga in Basel, and the Carlo Mazzi Gallery in Tegna, where the artist currently lives and works.
